Right now, this is my major story I'm working on (and have been working on for a little over a year now). I'll be the first to admit, it's more than a little rough at first (choppy writing, the voice doesn't work quite right at first, I don't have the walls totally up in all the pics) but it does get tighter as it goes.

I'm going to give the update title (I call chapters "updates") and then a wee little synopsis (if necessary).

I don't like to put warnings on my stories, just because I feel like it's asking forgiveness for what I've done. I've also seen people go to extremes with warnings, making notes about every little thing that MIGHT offend someone. I will give this ONE warning in the form of a movie rating.

Peculiar is rated "R". It contains adult themes, strong language, and violence.

Intros and Such: It's the first installment of Peculiar, where we meet Doraleen Pleasant and the Summerdream sisters (Titania and Bottom).

You Win Some, You Lose Some: Aggie loses a bet to Paul, forcing the Mechanics to examine the Pollinator shipwreck.

Come Up and See Me Sometime: Doraleen begins working toward her ultimate goal, her own business.

It's a Hard Knock Life: Loki Beaker sorts through the angst of teenhood through his extra credit english class project.

Guess What, Kids?: Paul learns of Auggie's deviation from the All Scenarios Binder and makes a major announcement.

The Kids are All Right: Loki Beaker finds a mother figure in Kitty Curious, while Daniel Pleasant chases after his own mother.

Looking for Love (Part 1 and Part 2): Pascal Curious tries to solve a difficult love equation. Can the answer be at college (or is it closer)?

Higher Education: The first group of Peculiar teens head to La Fiesta Tech.

Heads Up: Lazlo Curious explores teenhood while Percy Beaker and DJ Lothario explore one another.

Business of Love: Doraleen Pleasant has succeeded. Her business venture, The Club, is up and running. But her son Daniel isn't so sure he likes living with his mother. Aggie gets mixed signals from Paul.

Under New Management: Titania and Doraleen get some new employees and meet the REAL backer of The Club.

Gotta Get Some: Auggie Mechanic introduces Fava Bean Pollinator to his favorite hang out: The Club.

Gravity's Gone: Aggie and Paul struggle with their emotions, while Glam Curious has an out of this world experience of his own.

Substitutes (Part 1 and Part 2): Piquant Pollinator and Vidcund Curious experience heartache on their way to happiness.

Aphrodisiomania: The Club offers Fava Bean Pollinator some release and Helot a bit of an escape.

Quickening: Titania Summerdream and Glam Curious reveal some baby related secrets.

Modification (Part 1 and Part 2): Changes are afoot in Peculiar. Piquant confides in Vidcund and Helot finds solace at the bookstore.

It's in the Genes (Part 1 and Part 2): Loki and Circe make a big committment as Vidcund and Piquant's relationship makes room for a little fuzzy addition. While back in Peculiar, Paul and Glam question their work.

Make Your Move: Aggie gets what he's been longing for from Paul. Titania sets her sights on Serf. Bottom and Bjorn share their love with little Zondek.

Old Collenge Try: With the new group of students arriving at college, Percy and Pascal are re-united but not without some bruises.

Tangled Webs: Fava and Serf learn about their children. Percy and Helot/Albert learn about each other.

Perpetual Fluctuation (Part 1 and Part 2): Baby Morrow arrives bringing with her big changes in The Club. Pascal and Fava Bean struggle with the definition of family.

Transfer: College students return to Peculiar. Albert begins a new life.

This Domestic Life (Part 1 and Part 2): The Curiouses share their home with Albert. Vidcund and Piquant share their home with each other (and their cats). Aggie dreams of Little Pink Houses for he and Paul. Percy reaches out to Albert while Albert wrestles his own demons.

Persistant Locomotion: Fava meets his son. Pascal joins Albert back in Peculiar, leaving Percy at college.

Goddamn Lonely Love: Loki Beaker, Frances Worthington III, and Lazlo Curious learn love isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Fear and Trembling: A new employee takes Helot/Albert's place at The Club, promting Mother XYZ to cruely test Serf/Abe's loyalty.

Mother-come-lately: Peculiar has two Mothers.

Disclosure (Part 1 and Part 2): Angus and Lunar Rockette Khillian arrive in Peculiar. Albert comes face to face with Piquant Pollinator.

Help: With Percy's prompting, Albert reaches out to Pascal with help on finding his brother, Abraham.

Like Father, Like Son (Part 1 and Part 2): Fava is drawn into Pascal's plan to help find Abraham.

A Modest Proposal: Zondek gets a puppy and Paul makes Aggie an offer he's been fantasizing about.

Close Encounters (Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3): Frances makes his move on Daniel. Don (DJ) makes his move on Doraleen Pleasant. Fava meets with Abe and Zephyr. Albert gets some good news.

Make Way for Baby: The Khillians welcome their first born.

Toast of the Town: The Science Fiction Idols play their gig at the Hub Redux.

A Sort of Homecoming (Part 1 and Part 2): The second group of college students return to Peculiar.

Dog Days: Aggie Mechanic's dog, Marsha, surprises him with puppies, prompting Paul to plan a surprise of his own.

Making the Rounds: Kitty pays visits to Loki Sunseri and Aggie Mechanic, getting the latest from both households.

Preparations and Alterations (Part 1 and Part 2): Kitty helps Aggie prepare for his wedding. Loki watches his son growing up. Percy keeps the peace between his lovers. Serf/Abe gains his freedom from Mother but at what cost?

Be Made One (Part 1 and Part 2): Aggie and Paul take their vows in the afternoon but the excitement continues long into the night for the party goers.

Phew, that's all of it so far. So what's next?

There are some new characters waiting in the wings, characters that will weave their way into the story leading to the close of Peculiar Book One and send us barrelling into Peculiar Book Two.
